Celebrate National Dessert Month with Crave Brothers Dessert Nachos or Chocolate Mascarpone Pie
Waterloo, WI, September 27 2018—Crave Brothers Farmstead Classics Cheese offers rich dessert ideas featuring Mascarpone to help you celebrate National Dessert Month in October. Chef Scott Stroud’s inspired yet simple recipe for Dessert Nachos combines a dip made with Crave Brothers Farmstead Classics Mascarpone, fresh seasonal fruit, and cinnamon sugar-coated tortilla chips. Another easy—yet luxurious—dessert idea is Crave Brothers Chocolate Mascarpone Pie that requires only three ingredients: Crave Brothers Sweet Cream Mascarpone, Hershey’s® Special Dark Chocolate and an Oreo® Pie Crust.
Chef Strouds’ Dessert Nachos were a winner in the Crave Brothers Farmstead Cheese 2018 Professional Chefs’ Recipe Contest. He works for College Chefs and is employed at the Delta Gamma sorority at Drake University. The recipe is inspired by the seasons and features fresh fruit such as berries, with a dip that combines Crave Brothers Farmstead Classics Mascarpone with honey, vanilla extract, lemon zest and cinnamon. The dessert includes flour tortillas cut into triangles, then flavored with butter, cinnamon and sugar before baking until they’re crispy. Dessert Nachos are further flavored by a hint of fresh mint added to the fruit, and a touch of chocolate syrup drizzled over the plate.
