Meatloaf

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup cracker crumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 1/2 pounds hamburger
  • 1-8 ounce can tomato sauce

Topping

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard

Directions: Preheat oven to 375° F.  In a small bowl mix together egg and milk.  Add cracker crumbs, salt and pepper.  Let sit until crackers absorb the liquid.  Stir in onions.  Place hamburger in a medium bowl, add tomato sauce and cracker mixture, mix until blended.  Shape hamburger mixture into a meatloaf shape and place in a 2 quart baking pan.  In a small bowl, combine topping ingredients, mix well.  Spread over meatloaf.  Place in oven and bake for 3/4 to 1 hour.

 

Yield:  6 servings
