The Petit Frère Thanksgiving


Makes 2 sandwiches

4 slices Pumpernickel bread
½ pound sliced turkey
1 – 8oz Petit Frère, rind removed, cut in four slices
½ cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Heat a medium-sized skillet on medium heat.

Lay out the four slices of bread on a cutting board. Add ¼ pound of sliced turkey and two slices of Petit Frère to two pieces of bread. Spread ¼ cup cranberry sauce over the cheese. Top each with the remaining slices of bread.

Spread one tablespoon of butter on each side of the sandwich. When skillet is hot, carefully place each sandwich on heat.  Grill on both sides until browned and crispy.
