Grandma Statz's BBQ's

  • 2 pounds hamburger
  • 1/2 cup finely sliced celery
  • 1/2 cup finely diced onion
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 soup can of water
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1/2 cup of ketchup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 10-12 hamburger buns

Directions: In a large skillet, add hamburger and brown, drain fat.  Add celery and onion and sauté until lightly browned.  Add remaining ingredients and stir together.  Season to taste.  Cover and simmer over low to medium heat for 1 hour.  Serve immediately on buns.


Yield:  10-12 sandwiches
